Edward G Pfeil, 70, of North Huntingdon, PA, passed suddenly Friday, July 26, 2019. He served proudly in the United States Coast Guard on the Great Lakes, as Chef at the Carlton House in Pittsburgh and then in law enforcement for many years. Retirement wasn’t in his vocabulary as he remained busy with family, work and following his favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers. He loved his family, pets and helping others. He spent many years volunteering with the Blue Knights. He is survived by his beloved partner Shirley Zito, daughters Dana Pfeil Lynn and Kayla Pfeil Hanavan, grandson Gavin, granddaughter, Ava, father William Burks, sisters Susan, Debra, Judith and Laura, Uncle Glen Pfeil and multiple cousins. Preceded in death by mother Dolores Burks, grandparents George and Gladys Pfeil.Celebration of Life to be a private family and friends event on Friday, August 2, 2019.
No formal funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to support Pediatric Brain Tumor Ride being held by the Blue Knights.
