Gordon William Grimes, age 64, of Lincoln Borough, died September 2, 2019, at home. Born August 6, 1955, in Warren, OH, he was the son of the late Clair Arthur and Esther Rose (Bloom) Grimes and the best friend and life partner of Susan Lynne "Susie Q" (Wunderley) Fowler.

Gordon was formerly a self-employed private contractor and a road crew supervisor, for Lincoln Borough. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Vietnam era. Gordon was a member of the Ding-Dong Hunting Camp, National Rifle Association, Lincoln Borough Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co., where he was a Fire Company Trustee and Safety Officer, AMVETS Post #8, VFW Post # 842, American Legion Post #351, The Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #268, and Liberty Borough Vets Club. He loved camping and spending time at camp in Sinnemahoning, PA. Gordon enjoyed working on projects around the house and tending to his garden.
In addition to Susie, Gordon is survived by his children, Nicole Ashley (Christopher) Parada of Las Vegas, NV and Nicholas Adam (Jess Bales) Grimes of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Armand Jeremiah "A.J.", Sofia Grace and one more on the way!; brother, Clair Allen "Buddy" Grimes of Leavittsburg, OH; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, September 6, 2019, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 5:30 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. A celebration of Gordon's life will continue at the Lincoln Borough Fire & Rescue Social Hall. Inurnment will follow in McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery at a later date.
