Helen V. Gurowski, age 81, of North Huntingdon, died September 20, 2019, at home with her family by her side. Born October 5, 1937, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ann (Martin) O'Toole and the wife of the late Edward S. "Eddie Williams" Gurowski.

Helen's last work adventure was selling treasures, at the former Eastland Flea Market. In her early years, she worked at the former G.C. Murphy Co. and the former Carvotta Bros. of East McKeesport, where she was very proud of painting arrows for hunting. She also found time to volunteer in the Library at Stewartsville Elementary School. Helen was the president of the Green Beret Marching Corps.  Her greatest love, was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her children, Christopher (Irma) Gurowski of North Huntingdon, Laura (Anthony) Stansak of North Huntingdon and Lesly (Timothy) Chiaverini of Liberty Borough; grandchildren, Brian with whom she lived, Christopher, Kathy, Kimberly and Timothy James; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ava, Tyler, Benjamin, Jordyn and James; also nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was also preceded in death by a son, Martin "Marty" Gurowski; sister, Frances Scott.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, September 22, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be celebrated on Monday, 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Mary Polish Cemetery.
