John J. "Jack" Gosney

John H. "Jack" Gosney, age 84 of Port Vue, passed away at home surrounded by his family. Born September 16, 1935 in Clairton, he was a son of the late John H. Gosney, Sr. and Mary F. (Hoff) Gosney. A retired superintendent for R. E. Crawford Interior Painting and Drywall of Springdale and member of St. Mark's Parish, Jack was a longtime baseball coach and an avid golfer. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Geraldine A. "Gerry" (Hollick) Gosney; his children John Jeffrey (Robie) Gosney of Port Vue and Jacqueline (Drew) Patrick of Level Green; his grandchildren Jonathan (Jessica,) Jenna, and Julia Gosney, Clay and Gavin Patrick, and Jackson Foraker; his great-grandson Jett Gosney; his son-in-law Brian Foraker; and his godsons Joe Giansante, Patrick Vennebush, and Christopher Muic. Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his daughter Joni Lynn Gosney Foraker.

Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Borough, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-3454) on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Mark's Parish, Liberty Borough site with Fr. Thomas A. Wagner officiating.
