Walter Carl Motz, age 86, of Edgewood, died October 10, 2019, at the Aspinwall VA Hospital. Born November 28, 1932, in Pigeon Forge, VA, he was the son of the late Walter C. and Bernice (Moore) Motz and the husband of the late Margaret (Jones) Motz.
Walter was retired from Stuckert Towing, where he was an auto mechanic. He was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. Walter was a member of the Wilkinsburg Lodge F&AM.
He is survived by his sons, William C. of Monroeville and Greg E. (Jane) of Pittsburgh; companion, Margaret Zavada; also nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Walter was also preceded in death by his sister, Marian West.
Arrangements are entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
Family and friends are asked to gather for the memorial service at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Monroeville on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 11 a.m.
Inurnment with military honors in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, will be at a later date.
