David J. Cipicchio, 69, of Elizabeth Township, formerly of Versailles Boro, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 in Allegheny General Hospital.

He was a retired manager for Allegheny County Minority, Women and Small Business Development and member of St. Michael Parish, Elizabeth Township. David loved sports, including the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and Pitt basketball. He enjoyed vacations, trips to the casino, family dinners, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a strong supporter and fan of the Drum and Bugle Corp. Born January 14, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Punzo Cipicchio and Margaret (Yurechko) Cipicchio MacDonald. David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dessie M. (Cecchett) Cipicchio; daughter, Dessie Joy (Casey Shoub) Cipicchio of Carnegie; sister, Joanne (James) Gajdzik of Shelbyville, KY; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard A. Cipicchio. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Blessing will take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home, with Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Four Gateway Center, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
