Lillian S. Schroeder, age 88, of White Oak, died November 9, 2019, at Forbes Hospital. Born February 10, 1931, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna (Mondula) Socrates and the wife of the late Jacob W. Schroeder.

Lillian worked as a secretary for Attorney Dayne Shaw, was a ballroom dancing instructor, and spent time working for the Bell Telephone Company. She was also involved with the Youghiogheny Country Club, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Lillian is survived by her sons David (Janet) Zosack of White Oak and Robin (Marcia) Zosack of Merrimac, Mass.; grandchildren, Craig (Bryan) Zosack of Hempfield Township and Carrie (Jonathan) Jaboor of Melbourne, Australia; siblings, Herman Socrates of Greenock and Virginia Socrates-Shipley of North Huntingdon along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian is preceded in death by her brothers James and Louis Socrates. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery.
