George T. Gerdich, age 82, of White Oak, died December 19, 2019, at UPMC Montefiore. Born February 13, 1937, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Thomas, Sr., and Rose (Bertovic) Gerdich and the husband of Nancy (Kolar) Gerdich.

George retired from US Steel Christy Park Works, where he was general foreman of the maintenance department. He also worked at the former Builder's Square, with 5 years of service. George was a member of St. Patrick Church of Christy Park. George was a US Marine Corps veteran serving during peacetime. He enjoyed working with his hands and was known as a "Jack of all trades."
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his son, George T. (Revonda) of FL; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Mary Ann) Kolar of Jefferson Hills, Andrew (Pat) Kolar of Trafford, Jerry (Rosemarie) Kolar of Canada; sister-in-law, Joan Goodall of North Versailles; nieces and nephews; and close family friend Rita McCusker of Boston. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, December 22, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church of McKeesport. Committal prayers and entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum of Port Vue.
