Clifford V. Hoak, age 90, of Liberty Borough, died December 20, 2019, at Mount Vernon of Elizabeth. Born June 14, 1929, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Clifford V., Sr. and Nellie (Reynolds) Hoak and the husband of Shirley M. (Schultz) Hoak.
Clifford retired from the United States Post Office in McKeesport, with 26 years of service and also worked at National Tube for 17 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Mark Parish. Clifford loved spending time with his family and going on camping trips.
In addition to his wife, Clifford is survived by his children, Beverly (Philip) Cover of Port Vue, Clifford J. (Jonalyn) Hoak of Canton, OH, Linda (Carl) Surgeon of Liberty Borough, and Chris (Heather) Hoak of Indian Harbor Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer (Daniel) Kress, Caitlin (Jason) Markham, and Frazier Hoak; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Grace, Madeline Rose and Riley Jean; cousin, Dot Philips.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, December 23, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at St. Mark Parish at 1 p.m. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery of Port Vue at a later date.
