William Bernard Carper, 79, of Morgantown, WV, formerly of Roanoke, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020. He was born May 10, 1940 in Roanoke, VA, and was the son of the late Charles Bernard and Martha (Wills) Carper. William was a retired Store Manager for the Virginia ABC Board, and was a US Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his sons, Mark A. Carper of Elizabeth Township and James A. (Pamela) Carper of Roanoke, VA, grandchildren, Talor Ryan and Larry, Ashley, and Alayna Carper, great-grandchildren, Alex, Jason, Justin, Aubri, Mercedes, Avery, and Nevaeh. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betsy Ann Carper, and grandson, Andrew Carper. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2019 at 12 noon at 5917 Roslyn Street in the Boston section of Elizabeth Township.
