Elizabeth J. "Betty" Schneider, age 81, of Glassport, died January 12, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport. Born January 22, 1938, in North Union of Fayette, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (Crawford) Opinsky and the wife of Albert "Duke" Schneider.

Elizabeth dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. Betty was an avid lover and collector of Betty Boop. She enjoyed exploring flea markets for treasures, rides to Kerber's Dairy, and games on her cellular phone. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her children, June Wertz, Margaret "Peggy" Wertz both of Meadville, PA, and James (Eva) Wertz, Jr., of McKeesport; grandchildren, Leila, Tanya, James Thomas, Devin, James, Rachel, Jennifer, David, Crystal, Edward, Joseph, Hogan, Heidi and Joseph; also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her first husband, James E, Wertz, Sr.; daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Wertz Vaden; sons, Ralph Wertz and Joseph Opinsky and many siblings.
A memorial service and the inurnment, at Round Hill Cemetery, will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory..
