Frank J. Maringo, age 97, of North Versailles, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020. He was born January 4, 1923 in Monroeville, a son of the late John and Grace Maringo. He was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish, formerly known as St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport.

He was a proud Army veteran that served in World War II and went onto work as a draftsman for over 44 years at Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh before retiring. He was past member of the Fire Department of North Versailles station 214, the 305th Bombardment Group Memorial Association, the American Legion in White Oak, the AARP Versailles Boro Chapter 2911 and the Golden Key Club.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of over 71 years Dorothy Maringo; son-in-law John Waskowicz; brothers William, John, Joe and Robert; and sisters Sarah, Emma, Lena and Mary. He is survived by his children Judith Waskowicz of Franklin Park, Frank (Bonnie) Maringo of North Versailles and Richard (Carol) Maringo of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren Lonnie (Chrissy Merling) Maringo, Katie Maringo, Danielle (Anthony) DiNinno, Dana Maringo, Caz (Karen) Waskowicz and Talia (Dillon) Burkarth; great grandchildren Isaac and Jaxon Maringo and Luca, Julian and Amelia DiNinno; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 10 a.m. till time of Blessing Service at 11:30 a.m. at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. Interment with military honors will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon Twp.
