Steve J. Lasica, age 93, of Port Vue, died peacefully on February 19, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 6, 1926, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Frank and Barbara (Umolac) Lasica and the husband of Helen (Lawrence) Lasica for over 67 years.

Steve was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he was a proud letter carrier. He was a member and usher at the former St. Martin de Porres Church of McKeesport. Steve is currently a member of St. Mark Parish of Liberty Borough. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII, in the European Theatre. He was a member of the Port Vue Old Timers Softball Team and card club. Steve loved sports, playing horseshoes, and was willing to lend anyone a hand.
In addition to his loving wife, Steve is survived by his children, Kenneth (Faith) of McKeesport, Steven (Cindy) of Bridgeville, and Karen (Rich) Longo of West Mifflin; grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Noelle, Kristy, and Ember; great-grandchildren, Madison, Paisley, and Harper; daughter-in-law, Sandra Lasica of AZ; also nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Steve was also preceded in death by his son, Gary; siblings, Mary Puskarich, Anne McKivitz, and Frank.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christain burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Parish of Liberty Borough on Friday, February 28, 2020, at 10 a.m.
Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later date.
