Gloria Jean Wright, age 53, of McKeesport, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. She was born to Rosemary Wright on July 18, 1966.
Gloria attended McKeesport Area High School, DeVry University where she received her B.S. in Accounting, Keller Graduate School of Business, where she received her M.S. in Human Resources, and Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management.
Gloria recently worked as a claims processor for University Hospital in OH. Gloria also worked for United Healthcare for 28 years.
Gloria’s passion in life was her children and grandchildren. Gloria was best known for her love of food and could be called by those who love her a food snob. One of her many lines is, “I could cook that better.” Gloria loved to cook for her family and her home was the central meeting place for all to celebrate no matter the occasion. Gloria also had a love of travel and joined the Girlfriends with her best friend Barbara Lineman for many getaway adventures.
Gloria is survived by her mother Rosemary Wright, Her children Rosemary (Benjamin) Wright, Coreyne (Sandy) Wise, Tei-Eshia (Forest) Thrower, Da’Ondreya Green, and Da’Ondrey Green; William Spencer; Brothers, Thomas Lee (Claudia) Wright; Alphonzo (Linda) Wright, Thomas (Shalease) Wright; Sisters Angela Witherspoon, Dione Carter, Rachel Wright, Catherine Wright, 19 grandchildren. 4 God Children, a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Her sister Corinthians Anderson lovingly cared for her during her illness. We the family give her our greatest and warmest gratitude.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 716 Walnut Street, McKeesport, PA, 15132. A Celebration of life will follow at the Main Pavilion in Renziehausen Park located at the Jacob Woll Pavilion, 4112 Sycamore Drive, McKeesport PA, 15132
