Dennis Frey, age 67, of N. Versailles, died June 11, 2016. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on Aug. 29, 1948 and is the son of the late Fritz and Charlotte Lips Frey. He was a Veteran of the Army serving in Vietnam. He was a retired firefighter with over 50 years of service. He was a past chief for #3 Fire Company, West Mifflin, station #295. He was a volunteer for White Oak and West Mifflin EMS, was employed by McKeesport Private Ambulance Company and was a charter member of the Red Knights. He is survived by his wife Carol Moffett Frey, children Dawn (Michael) Shelly of McKeesport, Kimberly (Brian) Priest of Palmyra, PA, William (Tiffany) Davis, Jr. of N. Huntingdon and Joshua Davis of N. Versailles. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and all of the sons and daughters of the fire companies.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisors, 412 678 6177) on Tuesday from 6-8 pm and Wed. from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Services will be held Thursday at 10 am in the funeral home chapel with burial immediately following. Condolences may be made at www.strifflerfuneralhomes.com.
