Rose A. DaBaldo,98, of Clairton, passed away, Friday, June 10, 2016, in LGAR Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Turtle Creek. Born May 8, 1918 in NuMine, PA, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Angeline (Palmieri) Schepis and wife of the late Louis M. DaBaldo who passed away August 26, 1978.

Rose was a retired Business Teacher for for the Clairton School District and a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton. She was a 1936 graduate of Clairton High School and a 1940 graduate of Duquesne University with a degree in education. Rose volunteered at Jefferson Hospital after her retirement and also served on the Board of Directors of the Wilson Civic Association. She is survived her son, William (Flo) DaBaldo of Jefferson Hills, daughter, Diane (Jim) Trick of Clairton and son, James (Lisa) DaBaldo of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas and Dante DaBaldo, Allison Brown, and Chad Licht; great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Trinity and Mia Brown, Chad and Emma Licht; and a brother, Peter Robert Schepis of Clairton; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by sisters, Theresa Schepis, Frances Straub and Margaret Rich and brother, Frank Schepis. Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 6-8PM and on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 10 a.m. in St. Clare of Assisi Parish. Procession and burial will follow in St. Clare Cemetery in Clairton.
