Daniel T. Kolodziej, age 81, of McKeesport, PA passed away on March 7, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born on May 8, 1938, in McKeesport, PA, he was the son of the late George and late Victoria (Martinec) Kolodziej.  He is survived by his loving wife Therese (Zawilla) Kolodziej.

Daniel was retired from US Steel, Edgar Thompson Works of Braddock, PA after 31 years as an electrician. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God (Corpus Christi) Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Daniel was also a US Army veteran. He was an avid wood carver and enjoyed gardening, however his greatest love was spending time with his family.


In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by his daughters, Daneen (the late Mark) Carrington of Peters Twp., and Deborah (Ronald) Stotler of Verona; grandchildren, Evan, Auriana, and Breylen Carrington, Justin, Shaila, and Dylan Stotler; step-grandchildren, Ron, Dan, and Jen Stotler; great-grandchildren, Mila, Kaylee, and Kenzie Stotler; sisters, Angie (Al) Piesik of White Oak, and Jean Sodora of White Oak; sister-in-laws, Barbara Kolodziej, Sylvia Burak and Rosalie Getsy; and also many nieces and nephews.


Along with his parents and son-in-law, Daniel was also preceded in death by siblings, Eugene Kolodziej, Wanda Wedge, and Emil Kryzan.


Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, from 9 a.m. until the time of last leave at 9:20 a.m. (No viewing). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Committal prayers, military honors, and burial will follow in the New St. Joseph's Cemetery.
