Barbara M. Arnold was born February 7, 1943 in Clairton, Pennsylvania to the late Willie Gressem and Eva Hawkins Gressem.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Eva Marie Arnold; siblings, Rebecca McGrew and William Gressen, Sr.  Barbara fought a good fight and finished her course, she transitioned to eternal life on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

Barbara was married to Frederick Arnold for 61 beautiful years. To this union, four children were born. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Barbara especially loved and spoiled her grandchildren. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her children or grandchildren.  Barbara was truly family-oriented; the one thing you could say about Barbara is that she loved the Gressem and Arnold family alike.

Barbara loved the Lord and served Him well.  She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Clairton where she was the mascot for the Male Chorus and volunteered her time at the MSBC Soup Kitchen Outreach Ministry. 

Barbara leaves to carry on her legacy of love and faith; her husband, Fredrick Arnold; four children, Fredrick Arnold II, Terry Arnold, Jean Arnold, Bruce Arnold; sister, Inez (Elbie) Williams; brothers, Walter (Gloria) Gressem, Sr., John (Renee’) Gressen, Sr., Michael (Sharon) Gressem, Sr; sisters-in-law, Rose Bowman, Joyce King, Gwen Clarke; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.

PRIVATE VISITATION AND MEMORIAL WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH FAMILY AT MORNING STAR BAPTIST CHURCH, 307 SHAW AVENUE, CLAIRTON, PA
