Frank J. “Skip” Krien, 86, of White Oak, died peacefully Saturday, May 2, 2020, in UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born April 08, 1934, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Frank M. & Irene (Tretyak) Krien. Frank served two years, in the US Army during peacetime. He retired from AB Murray in Versailles. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God, Corpus Christi Church in McKeesport. Nothing brought a smile to his face more than Saturday  Night bowling with the Archer Hill Bowling League in Glassport, and his Tuesdays with Ed hanging out at the GBU.  He took pride in his roses, and well-manicured military cut lawn that his Grandson Zak had the task of completing. He loved sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. If there was a game, it was on his TV. Frank was the cherished father of daughters, Jodi L. (Richard) Rodman of McKeesport and Lori Jo (Stephen) Katich of White Oak; treasured grandfather of Nik & Zak Rodman and Matthew S (Nicole) Katich, whom he loved dearly; also surviving are his sister, Lois Alverson of Oakmont; and his brother Edward (Wilma) Krien, of White Oak; many nieces and nephews.
Private family arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. Entombment will take place at St Joseph Cemetery & Mausoleum, North Versailles.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of your choice or do a random act of kindness in Frank’s honor.
