Margaret Jane Lancaster, 76, of McKeesport, passed away in the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. She was born March 27, 1944 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Albert Lancaster and Bertha (Derr) Lancaster Thomas. She was a member of Kephart United Methodist Church in McKeesport and had worked for the former G.C. Murphy Co. Warehouse in Christy Park and the former Isaly's in Southland and White Oak. It was not unusual for Margaret to call with prayer requests. She loved to spend time on the phone, praying with her prayer partners. Margaret had her own card ministry.
Anyone who received cards from her usually had something in them and to some, became known as their care package. Margaret's desire was that people know how much she loved Jesus. She is survived by many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Clarence Thomas. Friends are welcome Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.
