Chester Harvey Daugherty, Sr., age 80, of Lincoln Borough, died May 25, 2020, at Meadowcrest Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center of Bethel Park. Born February 4, 1940, in Circleville, PA, he was the son of the late Harvey William and Katherine (Humphries) Daugherty and the former husband of Nancy (Dornin) Daugherty of Smithton, PA.
Chester was a retired Coal Miner, with over 30 years of service. He also was owner and operator of the former Daugherty Wrecking & Towing. Chester was a former member of the Boston United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his former wife, he is survived by children, Cheryl Rankin of Smithton, Wanda Lou (Gordon, III) Fine of Monongahela, and Yvonne (Robert) Penman of Glassport; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; aunt, Rose Marie Martinez of McKeesport; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sons, James William and Chester Harvey, Jr.; brothers, Daniel, James. Wayne, and Raymond "Skinny" Daugherty.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
Inurnment will be in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
