 Brian Michael Armstrong, 36, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at home where he was loved. He was born March 26, 1984 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Brian was raised in Pittsburgh and attended Liberty Elementary where he was a Boy Scout, Frick International Studies Academy where he spoke Spanish as a second language and played the Oboe in the Pittsburgh Public Schools Orchestra, then graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in 2002 where he was on the Robotics Team and participated in the First Competition in Orlando, Florida. Brian was #56 on the Taylor Allderdice Football Team and played in both the City and State Championship games.

He attended the University of California Santa Barbara to study Chemical Engineering. Brian was a sensitive and caring soul who struggled with behavioral health illness most of his life and found the challenges of living to be great. He loved his family to his core being. He is survived by his mother Alexandra Armstrong, friend Alysha Bokuniewicz,  uncle Justin Armstrong, father Eugene M. Pietosi, sister Gina Pietosi, brother Anthony Pietosi, grandmother Helen Ecker, aunt Berni Mullen, first cousins Carla Carelli Cravotta (Chaz) and Shana Mullen (Nicole). Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Audrey Armstrong, and Eugene Pietosi, and aunt Paula Carelli. Friends are welcome Friday, June 12, 2020 from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township, PA 15135. (412)751-5000 Drew J.
