Gerald E, “Gene” Faupel 58, of North Versailles, PA departed this life on Monday, June 8, 2020 at UPMC McKeesport.
Born January 5, 1962 in Bunola, PA, he was the son of the late Edward E. and Roberta (Maple) Faupel and the loving fiancé of Rose Jones.
Gene graduated from the McKeesport School District and had a passion working on cars. He was employed at Kennywood Amusement Park and worked diligently in the Housekeeping Department for over 20 years. He was someone you could depend on and knew just what to say or do when you needed a little laughter. Gene had a good heart, always caring about the needs of others and going out of his way to make you feel special. He was kind, gentle and compassionate, so full of life. Gene was definitely a family man; His greatest joy was spending time with his son Allen and his grandchildren who he truly adored. Also, Gene enjoyed bowling, socializing with his friends, especially his Kennywood Crew, cooking, going to the movies and attending his grandchildren sporting events. Spending time with his sister Kathy whom he shared a special bond with meant a lot to Gene, he had a special love for her. Loving Rose made his life complete.
