Russell "Rusty" David Griffith, 63, of Elizabeth Township, passed away at home on Monday, June 29, 2020. He was born July 14, 1956 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Sherwin and Evelyn Jean (Dannenhauer) Griffith. Rusty was a Pipe Fitter and Welder and was a 1974 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. He is survived by his sons, Daniel and David Griffith and daughter, Laura Griffith of Elizabeth Township, sister, Kathryn Griffith of Elizabeth Township, granddaughter, Ellie Nicole Geiser, his companion and caregiver, Pamela Geiser, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Patterson who passed away April 7, 2018. Friends are welcome Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 4-6 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithffield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. (FACE MASK REQUIRED) Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 6 pm. A celebration of Rusty's Life will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 3-7 pm at the Buena Vista Owls Club, 211 Elway St, Buena Vista, PA 15018. Private burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
