Bernard M. Bubanic, age 88, of Port Vue, died July 23, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport. Born September 1, 1931, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late George and Anna (Pancurak) Bubanic and the husband of the late Roseann (Martin) Bubanic.
Bernard worked for Skezas Trucking, Port Vue Borough, and as an Acolyte at Holy Trinity and St. Martin De Porres Churches in McKeesport. He was a member of Vigilant Hose Company # 1 of Port Vue for over 50 years and was the past Chairman of the Fireman Street Fair and parades. He also served in the Army during the Korean War. He is survived by children, Dr. Bernard (Jan) Bubanic, of Canton, OH, and Barb (Charles) Blum, of Smithon, PA; grandchildren, KaSara (Anthony) Meade, of Buckeye, AZ, Troy Bubanic, of Marietta, GA, Katarina (Jon) Beatty, of Canton, OH, and Trent Bubanic, of Canton, OH; great-grandchildren, Miles, Mila and Kaelyn Meade, of Buckeye, AZ, and Gracelyn Beatty, of Canton, OH. He was preceded in death by siblings, George Bubanic, Beatrice Rich, and Robert Bubanic. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, July 26, 2020, from 2-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 27, 2020, at 10 a.m. at St. Eugene Church.
