Ferne Feig Alpern, age 85,  passed away on July 28, 2020, from complications of Alzheimer's Disease, formerly of Duquesne and White Oak, until living in Pittsburgh for a number of years. She was the daughter of the late Emil and Jenny (Kline) Silberman. Ferne is survived by her son Mark (Linda) Alpern of Delaware; grandchildren, Alexa and Brett Alpern of Delaware; niece and nephews, Jack (Bridget) Wintner, Dr. Morton (Lisa) Wintner, and Nancy Wintner.

In addition to her parents, Ferne was also preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Alfred Silberman; sister, Gladys (Harold) Wintner.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
Rabbi Mendel Shapiro officiated a graveside service. Burial took place in Tree of Life Cemetery.
