James G. Bell, age 52, of North Huntingdon, died August 14, 2020, at home. Born, March 2, 1968 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late George and Johanna (Zewilla) Bell and the husband of Lynn (Rice) Bell.
James worked for Penn-Dot as an assistant county manager and later for MarkWest as a roadway coordinator. He was a community leader, coaching baseball, commissioner of a McKeesport League, and Assistant Coach for PAL softball. James was an avid reader; he especially enjoyed history and poetry. He was a collector of baseball cards and comic books. James' music library consisted of rhythm and blues (Buddy Guy) to alternative rock and everything in between. He loved his pets and bird watching. He had the kind of personality to get along with anyone he met.
In addition to his wife Lynn, James is survived by his loving children, Andrew (Raeanne) Bell, Adam (Sashah) Bell, and Caeleen Bell; siblings, Cynthia (Kenneth) Grimm of North Huntingdon, George Bell of McKeesport, Jennifer (Russell) Abbot of Ligonier; nieces, Christy Jo (Kenneth) Oliver, Patty (Cole) Mangialardi, Danielle Grimm and nephew, Christian (Mamiko) Grimm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving sons, Joshua and Owen Bell, and father-in-law, Bruce Rice.
Family and friends may be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Due to Covid a celebration of life wake will take place at a later date.
