Raymond L. Sitkowski, 82, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Country Care Manor. He was a bricklayer for Wheeling Pitt Steel in Monessen, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Senior Center in West Newton, and attended Christian Center Church in Belle Vernon.

He was an extremely hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Born April 6, 1934 in Monessen, he was a son of the late Stanley and Sophie (Tadazak) Sitkowski, and husband of the late Georgean (Bohlander) Sitkowski. He is survived by stepson, Kenneth (Cathy) Sharpeta, of Colorado; stepdaughter, Sherry Fiore of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren, George Dale (Lisa) Sharpeta Jr. of Elizabeth, Tina (Nick Tobin) Hoak of Elizabeth, Tami (Rob) Arico of Elizabeth, Kristi (Don Whyte) Sharpeta of Colorado, and Kenneth Sharpeta Jr. of Colorado; 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Irene Veschio of Rostraver Twp.; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by stepson, George Dale Sharpeta Sr., and stepdaughter, Wendie Covelli Sharpeta. No visitation is scheduled. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial is in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, PA 15037.
