Charles Lester Bales,  82, of Versailles, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020. He was born April 15, 1938 in Versailles and was the son of the late John W. and Elizabeth (Radar) Bales. Charles was proprietor of a landscaping business.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle Elizabeth (Kengle)  Bales, daughter, Stacey L. (James) Lundie of Versailles, son, Glenn (Tammy) Bales of Elizabeth Township, grandchildren, Rachel (Mitchell) Kelly, Harley (Teddy) Burkett, Jessica Bales and Angela Bales, great-granddaughter, Jayci Shae Kelly, brother, John (Dolores) Bales of North Versailles, brother-in-law, Blair Twale of Greenock, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Bales, Carolyn Twale, and Catherine (Ed) Alverez, and a brother, Glenn Bales. Friends are welcome Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 10 am to 12pm noon at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
