Patrick Houy, age 74 of Clairton, passed away after a courageous battle with Parkinson and Lewy Body Dementia on July 4, 2016 in Arden Courts, Jefferson Hills, PA.
Born March 17, 1942 in Clairton to the late Paul Theodore and Anna (McConeghy) Houy. Paul retired from after 43 years as a Senior mechanical inspector for quality control at Bombardier (formerly Westinghouse) in West Mifflin. He was an Air Force veteran and proud of his Irish heritage. He was born on St. Patrick's Day so no one could forget his birthday. An avid runner and eventual daily power walker who exercised no matter what the weather for 30 years. A passionate Penguins fan, race car enthusiast, collector of lighthouses, elephants and Irish memorabilia. Patrick was devoted to his family; a generous and loving dad and pap pap. He will be missed by his devoted Canine companion, Cinco. Patrick is survived by his loving children Beth Ann (Keith) Houy of Youngstown OH, Rebecca Ann (Edward) Reynolds of Moon Twp., and Patrick A. (Vickie Naccarato) Houy of Clairton, grandchildren; Brandon and Christopher Houy, Edward III, Abigail, Ethan and Eli Reynolds, step grandchildren; George III, Ryan and Matthew Andrisko, Noah Naccarato, step great granddaughter; Syler Andrisko, sisters, Betty Zapko of Aliquippa, Mary Lou Bernhardy of East McKeesport, brother, James Houy of Munhall, former wife and caregiver, Mary Lou Houy of Clairton and sister-in-law Kathy Houy of Dravosburg also nieces and nephews. Along with his parents Patrick is predeceased by a step daughter Melodie Andrisko and brother Ken Houy. Friends will be received in the A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 Fifth Street, Clairton, on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday.
