Thomas L. Haubrich, 89, of Manor, passed away Monday, July 5, 2016 at Brookville Hospital, Brookville, PA.
He was born August 1, 1926 in Manor, a son of the late Lawrence and Esther Sullivan Haubrich. Prior to his retirement, Tom was a storeroom manager for Westinghouse and a veteran of the WWII. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Manor, Manor Lions 42 years, Past District Governor 14E District, Manor American Legion with 70 years of service, and the Election Board for 27 years. He served as lay speaker, Sunday School superintendent and was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. Tom also held the position of Chaplain for many years for four organizations. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard Haubrich; and brother, Paul Haubrich. He is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice; sons, Larry (Maureen); Gerin (Cathy), Eugene (Barbara), Darryl (Linda); daughter-in-law, Phylliss Haubrich; 11 grandchildren, Robert, Charity, Jackie, Jeremy, Tracy, Tina, Corey, Chris, Michael, Nancy, Richard Jr.; 20 great-grandchildren. Visitations Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. A funeral service Saturday at 10 a.m., First United Methodist Church, Manor, PA. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH. Entombment in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
