Richard R. Kugler Jr., age 73, of North Huntingdon, died October 23, 2020, at home. Born March 1, 1947, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Richard R. Kugler and Mary Loretta (Barry) Kugler and the husband of Deena L. Kugler for 38 years.Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a retired Millwright from SMS Tech Service. Richard was a member of St. Agnes Church in Irwin. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and especially enjoyed going to Whites Creek. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and they were his world. Richard had the biggest heart and was truly a great man.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Micheal (Lisa) Kugler of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Abbie, Nolan, and Lily; siblings, Michele (Michael) Dowell of Weeki Wachee Spring, FL, and Barbara (Joe) Kugler of West Mifflin; and many nieces and nephews.Richard was preceded in death by brothers Jeremiah and Daniel Kugler and sister, Denise Rothey.Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 9 to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon at St. Agnes Church.
