Ann Dolores Carlson, 92, of West Elizabeth, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at home. She was born February 18, 1928 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith Pearl (Roscoe) Deringer. She was the wife of the late Earl S. Carlson who passed away June 14, 2014. Anna was a member of the Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was also a member of the Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens.

She had worked for the Elizabeth Forward School District at the Middle School and Central Elementary School. She had previously worked for Westinghouse. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Robert) Welty of West Elizabeth, son, Kenneth C. (Leslie) Carlson of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren, Emaly and Eli Welty, daughter in law, Perla Carlson of West Newton, nieces, Diane Wallace, Karen Russo, and Karla (Greg) Kostich, and nephews, Frank, Russell (David Hilton) Deringer and David Deringer, great nieces, Jennifer(Jason) Dawson, Toni Michelle and Nikki Russo, great nephews, Marc Lopretta, Shawn and Brian Russo.  She was preceded in death by her son, James E. Carlson. Friends are welcome Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 11 am until service at 12 noon at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.(412) 751-5000 Drew J.
