He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, West Newton. As a young man, Richard delivered milk for the former Schwirian Dairy. His other jobs included working for the former Combustion Engineering Foundry in Monongahela,  Elizabeth Township Road Department, and LaFarge (formerly Duquesne Slag). He is survived by daughters, Patsy (James) Domingo of Myrtle Beach, SC, Diana (Boyd) Rankin of Elizabeth Township, and Joanne (Wayne) Braucher of Port Vue, son, Richard (Robin) Oprosky, Jr, of Elizabeth Township, grandchildren, Robert Domingo, Jacqueline (Todd) Rankin Graham, Julie Rankin Heullen, Carley (Mike) Morenczy, Anna Marnell, Tina (Rick) Leach, Tim Marnell, Shanon (Kevin) Oprosky Wilson, and Shane Oprosky, great-grandchildren, Dan Morenczy, Joshua, Nicki and Shelby Laughlin, Ryan Pitterich, Henry and Evelyn Graham, Olivia Mochar, Julian and Josephine Huellen, Dominic and Eliana Leach, Devin Marnell, and Logan Joos, sisters, Elaine Janitor of Sutersville and Ruth Jesberger of Ohio, and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, John (Elda) Oprosky and Thomas (Evelyn) Oprosky. Friends are welcome Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10 am to 1 pm  at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412)-672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 1 pm. Interment will follow at the West Newton Cemetery.
