Myrtle J. Lyons, age 73, of McKeesport, died November 20, 2020.  Born December 8, 1946, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mabel (Hamm) Hemminger.  Myrtle studied Elementary Education and graduated from Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa Falls, GA, in 1970.  She managed the G.Thanks Gifts in MonroevilleMall for 27 years.  After the closing of G.Thanks, Mert then opened Rooted Together Gifts in 2007 alongside her good friends Shelley Berg, Linda Swab, and daughter, Judy Bohatch.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (James) Bohatch; granddaughter, Jaimie Bohatch; brothers, James (Ann) Hemminger, of Toccoa Falls, GA,  and Richard (Laraine) Hemminger, of Baytown, TX and nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at Trinity United Methodist Church in Stahlstown.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.  Chris Odasso, Owner.
