Fr. R. Donald Jones, 86, of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 in Arden Courts of Monroeville. He was a retired priest for the Diocese of Pittsburgh and formerly a clerk for Union Railroad. He attended Sacred Heart School of Theology in Milwaukee, WI. Fr. Jones was previously a priest at St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township, St. Joan of Arc in Library, St. Ursula's in Allison Park and St. Blaze's in Midland.

Born August 26, 1929 in Wilkins Township, he was a son of the late Samuel and Alice (Harvet) Jones. He is survived by a brother, Raymond L. Jones of Monroeville and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Samuel E. Jones. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 12 Noon - 2:00 pm and in St. Michael Parish, 101 McLay Drive, Elizabeth Township from 2:30 pm until a 4:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial, with Bishop David A. Zubik officiating. Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
