Reverend Wilbert A Wilson, 68, was born October 23, 1952, in McKeesport, PA.  The beloved son of the late Wilbert and Ella Louise (Alred) Wilson, Sr., departed this life on  December 22, 2020, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his sisters Toni Opong, Rhonda Legget, and Kimberly Wilson.

Woody, as he was affectionately known, graduated from McKeesport High School and attended Chaney State University. He then enlisted into the United States Navy. Later, Woody graduated from Family Bible School, Harty Bible School, and attended The Bethlehem Baptist Church Bible Institute. He retired from the VA in Aspinwall (HJHines) where he served not only the men but was a member of the Honor Guard and a Union Steward as well.

Rev. Woody besides being the cook, gardener, and handyman that never said NO; was also an avid bowler with a high game of 279, one strike away from a perfect game. He was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he was ordained Reverend and became an Associate Minister. He served in the choir and loved being the Ministry Leader of the Men’s Group.

Rev. Woody is survived by his loving spouse of 17 years, Rev. Karin; (step) children, William (Gina) Scott, Shedawn Daviston, Alina (Floyd) Brown, Moriah Crosby. He helped raise Emmau, Sharell, Noah, and Naamah, all of Mckeesport; siblings, Kevin of Munhall, Lisa (Eugene) Kelley.  He had many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, family, and friends that will truly miss him.
