Doris Jean Bailey, age 91, of McKeesport, died on Monday, February 22, 2021. She was born in McKeesport on March 4, 1929 and is the daughter of the late Lester and Gertrude Taylor Maurer and the wife of the late Chauncey A. Bailey. She was employed at the McKeesport Housing Authority until her retirement. She always enjoyed helping others and she and her husband loved traveling in their motorhome.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (John) Hreha of McKeesport; sons, Wade Ancarana of Elizabeth Twp.; Carl (Sherry) Bailey of North Huntingdon; Chris (Guyann) Bailey of Library; Ronald (Darla) Brewster of McKeesport; Senator James (Linda) Brewster of McKeesport; brothers, Lester Maurer, Jr. of Versailles Borough; Ronald (Valjean) Maurer of McKeesport; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by stepchildren Patricia Sissick; Margaret Flowers; and Chauncey Bailey, III. She is preceded in death by her infant son, Cary Alan; granddaughter, Jamie Brewster Filotei; grandson, Wade Ancarana III; great-grandchild, Colton Bailey; and sister, Joan Hileman.

The family would like to thank LGAR, Community Life, and Sara the hospice nurse for the wonderful care given to Mother.

A family gathering was held at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).

Services will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church 1201 Prescott St, White Oak, PA 15131 on Thursday, February 25th, 2021 at 12:30 p.m.
