Irene Mildred Martonyak, 89, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021. She was born February 27, 1931 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Petty) Sandusky. She was the wife of the late Bernard D. Martonyak who passed away September 22, 2006.

Irene was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church, Christy Park. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Phil) Baran and Pamela (John) Fenyus of Elizabeth Township, grandchildren, Christopher (Emily) Baran, Kelli (Peter) Esser, Katie (Tyler) Reader, Brian (Tina) Fenyus and Nicole Fenyus, great-grandchildren, Greta Baran, Zachary Thompson, Lucas Thomas, Thomas Baran, Jack and Noah Fenyus, Teddy Esser, Henrick Baran and Nina Reeder, along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracey Ann Martonyak who passed away November 20, 2018. Friends are welcome Friday, February 26, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.,6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.(412) 751-5000 Drew J.
