Nick Clarence Coban, age 90, of McKeesport, died February 28, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born March 24, 1930, in Versailles Borough, he was the son of the late Anthony and Pauline (Selac) Coban and the husband of Eleanor (Holden) Coban for 66 beautiful years.
Nick retired from EQT as a crew leader and was a Korean War Army-Aircore Veteran. He was a member of the Eleventh Ward Club, Croatian Club in Versailles, and a former member of Sacred Heart Church. He was an avid tennis player and softball player all the way into his 80's. Nick was an outdoors-man and spent a lot of his time either in his garden growing tomatoes, hiking, fishing, or hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Nick (Kathleen) Coban of McKeesport and Janice (Jim) Coban of Johnstown; grandchildren, Robert (Nicole) Belcher, Amanda (Matt) Coban, Nicholas (Christine) Coban, Micheal (Debra) Belcher, Christian Datel, Blaise (Brianna) Datel, and Anthony Coban; great-grandchildren, Talia, Logan, Gianna, Luka, Lily, Emma, Nora Jane, Vanessa, and baby Coban on the way; many nieces and nephews; and his cat Socks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, infant Steven, Steven, Mary, Annie, George, Frank, Andrew, Joseph (in WWII), Katherine, Zora, and John.
Family and friends may be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.. Memorial service will follow. Memorial contributions are suggested to Korean War Veterans at https://kwva.us.
