Evelyn L. (Swank) Pennington departed this world to meet her Heavenly Father on March 5, 2021, after 86 years. She was born December 1, 1934 to the late Daniel and Stella (Painter) Swank.  In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Pennington, in 2013; son, Bruce Pennington; grandson, D. “Bud” Flinner; and all of her many siblings- Helen Trent, Ethel Cochran, Donna Kelley, and Daniel Swank.  She leaves behind three children- Debbie (Stan) Flinner, Darlene Pennington, and Dave Pennington; as well as granddaughter Nikki Flinner, and many nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at both Golden Heights Personal Care Home and Transitions Health Care, as well as her hospice team for the kindness and compassion they showed Evelyn in her final days.  At her request, there will be no public viewing; and a private interment will be held.
