Dolores Jean Hess, age 93, of North Versailles, died March 5, 2021, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital.  Born August 4, 1927, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Marie (Dorr) McDevitt and beloved wife of the late Ronald James Hess.  Dolores was a life time member of the Evangelical Congregational Church in McKeesport.  She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, knitting beautiful afghans, and caring for her plants.

She was the loving mother of Ronald Thomas (Beverly) Hess, of Plum Boro and Darla Marie (John) Tancraitor, of North Versailles; loving and devoted grandmother of Troy Edward (Jessica) Tancraitor; great-grandmother of, Evan Michael, Molly May, and Zoey Marie Tancraitor; sister-in-law of Vera Cherry, Dennis J. (Cindy) Hess, Melinda Hess and many nieces, nephews and special friend Ann Feller.  She was also preceded in death by her dear brothers Ross Edwin McDevitt, Clyde (Thelma) McDevitt, and Robert (Dorothy) McDevitt and brother-in-laws Norman Ross, James T. Hess, Nelson Cherry and sister-in-law Fern Ross and lifetime friend Georgia Wagner. The visitation and service will be private as well as the burial at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Monroeville.  Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.  The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.  Chris Odasso, Supervisor.
