Ronald Gene Thompson, Sr., 83, of McKeesport, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at home. He was born June 15, 1937 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Ben F. Thompson and the late Dora M. Thompson Teribery. He was the husband of the late Mary Jo (Bero) Thompson who passed away May 15, 2013. Ronald was a retired truck driver and was a member of the PNA.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph L. Thompson of McKeesport and Ronald G. Thompson, II., of Glassport, daughter, Lisa Marie Thompson of McKeesport, grandchildren, Caleb Thompson, Casey Jo Onder, Randy A. Onder, Jr., and Jade D. Steele, great-grandson, Michael A. Cousineau, Jr., and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Olack and brothers, Ben Thompson and Carl "Hutch" Thompson. There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday May 15, 2021 from 2:00- 5:00 pm at the Liberty Boro Veterans Club. RSVP via Lisa Thompson's Facebook page.
