Milan John "Mel" Kesser, Jr., 65, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021. He was born May 5, 1956 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Milan John Kesser, Sr.  and Rosemary M. (McKay) Kesser Gerondites.  Milan was a faithful and devoted member of St. Agnes Church in North Huntingdon.  He worked as a cab driver and also for the former National Tube in McKeesport.  Mel was a very religious and spiritual person who would pray for the world and for those who passed away everyday.  He was an excellent caregiver for his mother, Rosemary who recently passed away April 12, 2021.  He was also a member of the McKeesport Dartball League.

He is survived by his brother, Gary V. (Diane) Kesser of White Oak, sisters, Cynthia "Cindy" (Duane) Kovalcin of North Huntingdon, Kathleen (Del) Large of Streetsboro, OH, and Colleen (Jess) Mains of North Huntingdon, aunt, Catherine (Robert) Macey of North Huntingdon, uncle, Henry V. (Josie) McKay, Jr., of Duquesne special friends, Carla Niedzwecki and Diane Johnson, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews and many friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy "Tim" Kesser and step-father, James Gerondites. Friends are welcome from Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 2:00- 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.,1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 14, 2021, 12:00 pm at St. Agnes Church, 11400 St Agnes Lane, Irwin, PA 15642. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
