William F. Wahrenberger, age 86, of Port Vue, died May 15, 2021, at home. Born January 30, 1935, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William and Laura (Davis) Wahrenberger and the husband of Anna Mae "Annie" (Conley) Wahrenberger for over 63 years.
Bill retired from General Motors Corporation, Fisher Body Division, where he was an electrician with over 30 years of service. He was a US Marine Corps veteran serving during peacetime.
Bill was also a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, reading, and crossword puzzles. Bill's greatest joy was the time he shared at his family camp in Tidioute, PA, over the last 50 years.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Scott of Glassport, and Susan of Port Vue; grandchildren, Robert, Christian, Colan, Daniel, and Quinn; great-grandchildren, Christian and Cecilia; sister, Janis (Elmer) Griffin of North Huntingdon; nieces and nephews; Sharon (Roy) Raible, Patrick (Lauren) Conley, Warren (Laurie) Conley, Leslie Conley, Sean (Michelle) Conley, Kristen (Christopher) Kelly, and Daniel (Carissa) Griffin; also many great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Patrick E. and Stella (Gouker) Conley and brother-in-law, Patrick (Lois) Conley.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021, 2 p.m., at the Port Vue United Methodist Church. Committal and military honors will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021, 1:30 p.m., at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Family and friends are asked to gather at the Willig Funeral Home & Crematory at 12:00 p.m., procession to the cemetery will leave at 12:30 p.m.
