Earl F. Benteler, age 94, of Elizabeth Township, died May 25, 2021, at Jefferson Hospital. Born September 15, 1926, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Henry and Gertrude (Young) Benteler and the husband of Grace J. Benteler for 63 beautiful years.
Earl retired from Duquesne Light Company as a lineman. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran serving in WWII. Earl was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. He enjoyed staying fit by working out at Anytime Fitness in White Oak. Earl was also active with the Oldtimers softball league and the McKeesport Model Railroad Club.
Earl is survived by his children, Lisa Benteler-Boczar of North Huntingdon and Jerry Benteler of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren, Danielle, Ashley, Zachary, Natalie, and Emily.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy and Harry.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Friday May 28, 2021, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in McKeesport. Committal will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
