Joyce D. Young, age 77, of White Oak, died June 3, 2021, at Hempfield Manor.  Born April 1, 1944, in Wilkinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl (Franks) Rawson and the beloved wife of John Young for 56 years.

Joyce worked in the business office for Hills Department Store and then for Giant Eagle.  When she was younger, she enjoyed going shopping.  She was also cooking and feeding her family and friends, even most recently buying pizza for the nurses who were taking care of her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children Jeff (Jodie) Young, Jodi (Joey) Vergara, Janette (Dan) Krejdovsky, and John Young; grandchildren, James (Sierra) Izatt, Joe (Cherie) Vergara, Melinda (Tim) Tezza, Lyndsey Bertok, Audrey Young, Madisyn (Joshua) Sitterly, Ayden Young, and Daniel Krejdovsky; great-grandchildren Kaiya, Easton, Emeric, Cameron, Aubrielle, Coleson, Ryleigh, Ari, Lucas, Carter, and Ensley; sisters Phyllis Mercer and Carol Clough; brother Benny Rawson.  
She was also preceded in death by sister Hilda Montgomery and brother Bill Rawson.  
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday from noon until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m.
