Josephine (Jo) A. Scardina McNeal, 98, died June 16, 2021. Born January 11, 1923, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Charles P. Scardina and Marie A. Waldhauser.  She was the beloved wife to the late Michael J. McNeal, Jr.  Josephine graduated from Seton High School.   She lived in McKeesport, PA, and was also a long-time resident on Kent Island in Stevensville, MD.  A Real Estate Agent with Wilson Baum Agency in McKeesport, PA,  she enjoyed bingo, the casino, cards, travel, friends and family.  Jo contributed many years and countless hours of volunteer work in the community and was a member/volunteer in several organizations;  KIVFD Ladies Auxiliary, KI Hospice Estate Treasures, KI Over 50’s Club,  St. Christopher’s Outreach & Bingo, Bay Country Moose Ladies Auxiliary  #831, KI Elks  #2576, Memorial Hospital & McKeesport Hospital.

She was also a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

She is survived by children JoMarie McNeal Piccini of White Oak, PA and Erin McNeal of Sherrills Ford, NC; grandchildren Michael J McNeal, IV of New Florence, PA, Mark (Whitney) McNeal of  Harrison City, PA,  Lenny (Valerie) Piccini, Jr. of  N. Huntingdon, PA, Shelly (Zach) Piccini Zadroga of Irwin, PA, Angie Piccini Petty of McKeesport, PA, Melissa (Jim) Flowers Hensley of Troutman, NC, Jake Flowers of Charlotte, NC & Derek (Samantha) Flowers of Mooresville, NC; great-grandchildren  Courtney McNeal, Lenny and Sophie Piccini, Milah, Noah and Eli Zadroga, Jozie Piccini, Isiah and Nate Petty, Ava and Ethan Wyatt, Levi Hensley, and Wyatt Flowers.  She was also preceded in death by son Michael J (Posey) McNeal, III and dear sister Anna May Scardina Ellinger.
