Michael Anthony Caudill, better known as "Opey" or Mikey C", 28, of Hollywood, FL, formerly of McKeesport, was called home Tuesday, June 22, 2021. He was born during a tretcherous snow storm on March 11, 1993 in McKeesport and was the son of Caroline Marie Caudill of Pittsburgh. Michael made his way into the world and into the hearts of so many.

Michael graduated from McKeesport High School in 2011 and went on to further his education at Bethany College, West Virginia. He found joy in his profession as a loan officer in Hollywood, Florida but Michael was also an experienced roofer and painter. Michael was a football, basketball and baseball player for countless organizations and teams where he met lifelong friends and gained everlasting memories. He enjoyed many things like watching Lebron James, playing rec softball with his childhood friends, buying Jordan’s almost every Saturday and spoiling his baby niece Josie. He never passed up a moment to rescue an animal in need of a home which accounts for the 6 cats that he brought home over the years. Michael leaves to cherish fond and lasting memories: loving mother, Carolyn Marie Caudill of Pittsburgh; sister, Alexis Caudill, niece, Josefina Hobson, loving Godmother, Kathleen Stokes, grandmothers, Marlu Caudill and Cheryl Zeiler, uncles, David Caudill, Michael Caudill, Jeffery Shaffer, and Braxton Caudill; aunts, Lazanne Caudill and Barb (the late Frank) Bova, cousins Shilo and Shalane Casudill, Aaron and Mandy Bova, and Sebastian and Zachery Caudill, The Russ family, Iris, Erica, Josh, Jenn, Noah; as well as countless friends old and new who loved him so much. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bart Caudill. Friends are welcome Wednesday June 30, 2021 from 3-7 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131. (412) 672-6322, Troy J. Gilbert, director.
