Francis V. "Frank" Davis, age 72, of Port Vue, died July 5, 2021, at home.  Born December 7, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Emily (Stepanic) Davis and husband of Theda (Buckholtz) Davis.  Frank worked for U.S. Steel for 31 years and retired as a Blast Furnace Supervisor.  Frank served with the Marines and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned a Purple Heart.  He was a lifetime member of the Port Vue American Legion Post 447 and an officer, a member of the Glassport American Legion Post 443, and a lifetime member of the Clairton VFW Post 803.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Michelle (Tim) Schonbachler, of Pittsburgh and Douglas Davis, of Latrobe; grandchildren, Allison Schonbachler, Ryan Schonbachler, and Damian Davis; sister-in-law, Rose Davis, of Scottdale; nieces, Amy Jo (Tim) Ault, of Mt. Pleasant and Crystal (Mike) Flack, of Acme; nephew, Matthew (Natalie) Davis, of Somerset; great-nephews, Randall "RJ" Johnson and Cage Davis.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Davis, Jr.  Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from noon until the time of the military service at 4 p.m.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.  Charles Danforth, Supervisor.
